Haul

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

I went shopping yet again, supposed to be going shopping for Ibiza ended in I'll buy everything I like.

I didn't go as crazy as I thought I would... I really need to save money for Ibiza on Monday.

I first started off in Topshop, an absolute must.
I was a little bit hasty at buying these because of the price tag, but everyone raves about them and I fell in love with them on, so it was then impossible for me to leave without them in my hand.

Topshop Jamie High Waisted Jeans

I was on the search for a pair of ripped white jeans but I wasn't having much luck until I came across this pair in Topshop. I am really fussy with jeans, as I don't really wear them a lot. I find them really restricting and un comfy. I honestly feel the complete opposite about these, they don't become baggy at the bottom, they don't fall down when I walk, to me they are my key points I look for in a pair of jeans.

I will definitely be purchasing these in other colours. They are priced at £42 which is a lot of money but totally worth it for the quality. Also don't forget all you students out there like me can get a discount, bringing them down to £37!!

I paired my jeans with a Topshop stripped top with a white collar, my Topshop hat & shoes. Bag from Boohoo. This is a perfect summer outfit, ideal for a picnic.

This little top is so cute, I love the bow at the back it makes your outfit instantly more girly.

My bag was featured in a previous blog post, but I wanted to show it closer up so you can all capture its full beauty. I just wish it was slightly bigger, however in the summer it's nice to have a small bag so you're not lugging around a heavy jam packed handbag.

The jeans can also be worn for a night out.
Tee- New Look
Shoes- New Look
Bag- Select

It is so easy to pair jeans with different clothing to make them day and night. White jeans look perfect matched with heels for a night out with the girls. I paired mine with my favourite slogan tee and monochrome clutch bag. I love this outfit because it is casual and comfortable yet suitable for a night out.

Bag- Select
Rings - Topshop

Bodysuit - Miss Selfridge
Skirt - Topshop
Shoes - New Look

I have been looking for a skirt like this too wear to Bloggers Fashion Week on 25th August. I knew I wanted a Midi skirt, but style, pattern was another matter. Then this one just happened to be in topshop, the last one in my size. I call it fate.
So I have the skirt sorted for Fashion Week now I need the rest of my outfit... more shopping ;)

I then popped into Primark to get some a swimming costume for ibiza when my sister pointed this flower garland out to me.. so I blame her entirely for this purchase.
But it went perfectly with the new swimming costume I bought, creating a perfect Ibiza outfit.

Hope you enjoyed coming shopping with me.
Looking forward to blogging all my Ibiza outfits for you when I'm home

Chi Chi Shoot.

Friday, July 25, 2014

I have a different type of blog for you all today. As I have mentioned before I am working with studio one to complete my university work placement. I was lucky enough to be part of the shoot with Chi Chi clothing who are based in London. It is a small online based company selling affordable evening dresses.

It was an amazing experience, getting to see everything that goes on behind the scenes at the shoot. So I thought I would give to a little sneak peak at some of the glamorous dresses which are being released to the public within the next couple of weeks. The dresses are all unique and simple but each one was slightly different. We were shooting the lookbook for their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, made up of maxi and short cocktail dresses.

The shoot in total took, from 8am and wrapped up at 6pm.. it was an extremely long and tiring day. It was like me trying to find an outfit every morning, the two models Danielle and Rachel running around getting the dress on, dress off,.. shoes, accessories everywhere.

As I was there to be a photographers assistant, I mainly helped with the lighting and editing, but I was secretly in heaven being surrounded by hair and make up stylists, clothes stylists. It was a dream come true.

I can honestly say I have my eye on a few dresses in the collection that I will be keeping my eye on and definitely will be purchased when they come online. There is something in the collection for everyone with perfect colours for autumn/winter.

So everyone please go head over to http://www.chichiclothing.com/?siteID=lbHlpxiEbDY-cgNVD2f40eB.rA10bwJ.kg if you have an event coming up.

Missguided Monochrome

Saturday, July 19, 2014

I cannot express my love of monochrome enough.. it's got to the stage now where I own zero colour clothes. My wardrobe looks as if colour was never invented, or my eye sight has become black and white.
When I go shopping I don't purposely not pick up anything colourful, I am just attracted more to the blacks and whites. It's so easy to style just two colours, being so easy to just throw something on in a rush and it looking moderately okay.. without thousands of colours clashing.

I know, it's summer right now and everything to do with summer is colourful but I won't be straying away from monochrome. I know some people will be thinking your mental wearing black in the summer,... Which I probably am. I'll have to stock up on whites, walking around like an angel for the whole summer.

As I was on a mission for some summer clothes, I looked on Missguided as they have some amazing summer items for such affordable prices. There basic tops and skirts are so easy to pair together for a perfect summers outfit.

Here are a few of there monochrome outfits I fell in love with, and hopefully all you monochrome lovers out there will love them as much as me.

My favourite outfits out off all of them are 3, 4, and 10, so I definitely had to purchase a few things from them.

Enough about me getting monochrome crazy, all of you must go and check out Missguided http://www.missguided.co.uk

There is also a 50% off sale on at the moment so go and grab your summer bargains.
Then let me know what you got so I can be nosey.

GO, GO, GO..
Happy shopping

Simple High end face.

Wednesday, July 16, 2014

Hello,

Anyone who knows me will know about my love for make-up. It's my all time favourite obsession and always has been. From the silly times sitting in my bedroom plastering every item on my face to learning about what things do and how they make me feel happy about myself.

Make-up is different for everyone, some to make them feel more confident, some purely because it's what they enjoy and some detesting the stuff. I simple cannot get enough. I'm sure my friend Olivia will have a lot to say about this with all the times I've made her spend money on make-up she didn't really need, but it looked pretty so it was a must. (sorry Olivia's bank account)

The time I spend doing my make-up is my little escape from the world, I love experimenting with new products Drugstore and High end. My current High end make-up brands include YSL and Chanel, I find the quality is outstanding and I am always happy with the result no matter what the product. I mean don't get me wrong I love a good old make-up bargain but it's always lovely to treat your face every once in a while. So here is what my face has been loving for a simple high end face...

YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation
I'm normally a M.A.C foundation girl, every time I stray away I always find myself going back to M.A.C. Well, this just changed.. I only got this foundation a couple of days ago and it is already my ultimate favourite. I can't praise it enough. It matches my skin tone perfectly, it's so light but gives a brilliant dewy full coverage.

YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Highlighting Pen
Now I think this is a product we see in every girls make-up bag. It has been one of the most raved about product in the beauty world. This little gold tube is magic, when I first bought this I thought 'oh god thats going to be way to bright' but no, when applied it fits perfectly and does exactly what it says it is.

YSL Babydoll Mascara
I am No.1 raver for Benefit They're real Mascara, I wear it day in day out. (obviously not at nightime) So when I do give my face a little treat this Babydoll mascara is the one I always turn to. It gives my lashes so much volume within one stroke. It's so easy to build up to your desired lash without becoming clumpy.

Chanel Precision Eye Definer
I have never been one for eyeliner, (since my jet black eyes 7 years ago) I never got on well with any eyeliner that ended up half way down my face only a couple of hours later. Then along came Chanel with the god send eyeliner that stays put.

Chanel Rouge Coco in shade - 41 Destinee
This lipstick has been in my make-up bag for a year now, and it's almost run out as the photo shows. Will definitely be taking a trip to Chanel to re-purchase it. I cannot live without this lipstick, last autumn I went on a search for the perfect autumn lip colour. This was the winner, when it's on it becomes the most gorgeous deep plum with red tones.

There we go, they are my go to High end make-up products.

I wish I had my own little money tree but I don't so I physically have to stop myself from using these products everyday, but for the odd occasion I love to doll myself up with some of the best make-up products out in the make-up world.

Enjoy your adventure

Love for Boohoo

Sunday, July 13, 2014

Hello guys and gals,

I was on Boohoo the other day and fell in love with some of the pieces on there. I always find it risky ordering with a purely online shop as I know with my memory I will forget to send clothes back if they don't fit.

However, I simply couldn't leave these items.

The most gorgeous fluffy Gilet, I have been looking for a sleeveless blazer for a long time as they give a bit of class to every outfit. As soon as I got it out the packet my sister fell in love too, couldn't quite believe it was only £12. The material and quality is outstanding, will definitely be hanging in my wardrobe for years.

I have an addiction to black cami's, but this one was slightly different to the rest so it made it acceptable to get it, right? ... probably not, but you can't have to many. The back of this one adds so much to a simple outfit.

I have to admit, silly me got taken away by the gold detailing on this bag and before I knew it, it was in my checkout without knowing how big it was. I was sold on the gold, it looked so pretty. When it arrived it was a little smaller than I expected but, that was fine. It's a decent size for a nice meal out with family or friends.

Gilet - Boohoo
Top - Boohoo
Trousers - New Look
Boots - Primark
Bag - Boohoo

I also picked up this simple white tee. I have a one similar but in dress form which I adore, so I thought it would be best to get it in tee style too.

The Bumbag is also from Boohoo as my last one got destroyed at Holifestival but I need one for Reading festival and this was a right bargain. I think Bumbags are perfect for festivals as you are not stuck carrying a bag while dancing. Also it's so handy for the absolute necessities.

Top - Boohoo
Trousers - Topshop
Shoes - Topshop
Bumbag - Boohoo

Everyone go and look at Boohoo, it's the perfect place to pick up summer essentials.

ootd, cinema date.

Tuesday, July 08, 2014

Hey,

Today me and my sister went on a cinema date, so I thought I would blog about what I wore.

This simple black dress is easy to wear on any occasion. It's a staple piece for every girls wardrobe along with a white shirt. As I was only going to the cinema, I decided to dress it down with a floral print shirt and some classic black boots. The shirt adds a lot to this outfit so I kept accessories minimal.

My Michael Kors bag is my go to bag, it is the Michael Kors Medium Jet Set Multifunction Saffiano Travel Tote. Every time I see a bag I like nothing tops good ol' Michael, whatever I need always fits in, it's like a stylish Mary Poppins bag. Now I know they are super pricey but there are many replicas out there on the high street. I was lucky enough to get mine as a 19th birthday gift and I haven't put it down since.

Shirt - River Island
Dress - New Look
Boots - Primark
Watch & Bag - Michael Kors

Primark are really on point with their shoes this season, as some of you know I am not a boots person. I much prefer trainers or sandals but these caught my eye, for £18 I couldn't leave them. They are simple black boots which will get a lot of wear out of them and are super comfy.

Thanks

Benefit - They're real push-up liner.

Monday, July 07, 2014

The most raved about mascara now has a sister, Benefit they're real push-up liner. I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch party at my local store. I couldn't wait for the launch, extremely excited to purchase the push-up liner and definitely not disappointed. Including the fact free chocolate was involved. As I purchased the they're real mascara and liner at the same time I got to sample the new remover, accompanying the new liner release. The remover done the job but was no way worth the price.

Benefit They're real push-up liner £18.50

The release was huge, everyone was talking about it. The liner had a lot of expectations, especially after the mascara became bestselling. Since the launch, I haven't put the liner down, it's been in my make-up routine from the day it became such a hit.

They're real push-up liner is the first Benefit gel liner in pen form. For me this was a god send, being a lover of gel liner I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It seemed simple enough, pen form not liquid but gel. That is exactly what you get, simple. So easy to use, in one stroke the most perfect equal line done.

As the nib is slanted the gel comes out straight leaving a little excess to wipe away before applying. However the nib is angled to glide along your lash line, all you have to do is twist the bottom of the pen and the gel will appear.

I'm not the best at eyeliner, shaking hands holding pointy tips near my eyes is a nightmare. However this has made my life so much easier.

Luscious lash line eyeliner with five minutes.

THANK YOU BENEFIT!

Day out in Windsor.

Sunday, July 06, 2014

Hello, hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

As I have finished university for the summer I have had a lot of free time, so I decided to go for a day out in Windsor with my sister. When I was little my mum always used to take me and my sister to windsor to feed the swans, it's easily my favourite place. Whenever I'm there, I feel like that little girl again, walking along next to my grandad, my brother joking to throw my sister in the river. The perfect family day out.

Windsor has the most beautiful sceneries, being so peaceful it's truly worth visiting. There is something to do for the whole family.

I went with a simple outfit, white jeans and a black cami. My monochrome Fiorelli bag matched perfectly, it's the perfect size to fit everything in (my massive blogging camera) and a girls necessities.
I paired this outfit with my heeled sandals to glam it up a bit.

Hat - Topshop
Top - Matalan
Jeans - New Look
Bag - Fiorelli
Shoes - New Look
Sunglasses - Primark

Whilst we were at Windsor it was the perfect place for afternoon tea, I had seen a photograph on Thebeautycrush's instagram quite a while back of The Crooked house of Windsor which looked adorable. So I had to go and check it out myself. Omg it was so cute, the house looked like it wasn't supposed to be there. So small and cosy.

If you are ever in Windsor be sure to go here. You won't regret it.

Enjoy your adventures

Holifestival 2014.

Tuesday, July 01, 2014

What a weekend, certainly not my normal sunday.

Going to Holifestival was a rational decision of mine, one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I basically stood in a field with a few drinks, listening to some wicked music throwing paint at everyone, sounds mad but the most fun I've had in ages.

It was pure sunshine when we arrived...

Then heavens opened, normally I would run for shelter being a typical girl but I knew I should just stay and enjoy myself, screw the rain. Well, this is how it ended.....

Wet and looking like a rainbow threw up on us.

If you can get yourself tickets next year I would definitely recommend it, such a brilliant festival.

Have a great week,
enjoy your adventures
